Durham CAN Listening Session
April 7 @ 2:30 pm - 3:15 pm

L’Arche NC has been invited to participate in a Durham CAN Listening Session on Monday, April 7th, at 2:30 PM in Whitford Hall at Duke Memorial UMC, and we’d love for you to join us!
What is Durham CAN?
Durham Congregations, Associations, and Neighborhoods (Durham CAN) is a non-partisan, grassroots organization made up of local congregations and community groups working together to create positive change in Durham. Every two years, CAN holds listening sessions to identify the most pressing concerns in our community. Past sessions have led to major initiatives—like securing universal free lunch for all Durham Public Schools students.
Why should you come?
This is a chance to share the challenges you or those you care about are facing and help shape the priorities for Durham CAN’s work over the next two years.
Example questions that may be asked:
- What is a problem that you or someone you care about is experiencing and how does it impact you?
- If you could change something about your community, what would it be?
- What keeps you up at night? What’s an example of that in your day-to-day life?
The session will last just 45 minutes—a time to share what’s on your heart and mind, with no preparation needed. Your input will be part of a larger city-wide conversation that drives real action.
