In the 2020 uprising for for black lives, disabled activists are calling us back to the narratives of black disabled people within the movement of Black Lives Matter. On September 7, as part of on-going work within the board of L’Arche North Carolina towards dismantling white supremacy and broadening our commitment to anti-racism, we will center the work, activism, and ally ship for black disabled lives in a panel discussion between Mr Kendrick Kemp and the Rev Dr. Latonya McIver Penny. Join us!
Mr Kemp is a theologian, teacher, preacher, writer, father, disability consultant, and founder of Black Liberation Theology of Disability.
Dr. LaTonya McIver Penny is a wife, mom, daughter, pastor and Executive Director that loves to love, support, advocate with and for people of all abilities.
