As Disability Pride Month comes to an end, we want to thank you for celebrating with us. This month has highlighted the unique gifts and contributions of individuals with disabilities, and we are grateful for your support.
I invite you to watch the video shared below of Kyla Ponciano, a volunteer and Board Member of L’Arche North Carolina. Let’s bring the pride and awareness we’ve developed into our everyday lives, working together to build a world where everyone is valued just as they are.
Thank you for being part of our journey. We have a few upcoming events that I’d also like to highlight. This Friday night, we will once again join together with 321 Coffee in Raleigh for a free outdoor Movie Night. Also, gather with us this coming Tuesday in Durham for Community Dinner & Picture Bingo at Bethany UMC. Don’t miss our weekly events at the Bulla Center in Downtown Raleigh. They are great opportunities for the whole family. Help us continue Disability Pride month into August (and beyond!) as we imagine community differently and cultivate unique connections!
