DESCRIPTION:If you missed the L’Arche North Carolina Sip\, See\, and Support in October 😞\, we have two more opportunities in November to see the new L’Arche NC house! 🏠🎉 \n\nYou’re invited on November 12 between 2-3:30pm or November 29th from 5:00pm-6:30pm to tour the L’Arche house (located in South Durham). Our Executive Director\, Laura Steed Lorino\, will guide you through the house and end the tour with some delicious appetizers and drinks. 🍽️ \nUnfortunately\, the house is NOT YET fully accessible. Guests using mobility aids (such as walkers or a wheelchair)\, will have very limited access during the tour. Ex: kitchen & bathroom access is not yet complete. We look forward to the future when everyone visiting the L’Arche house will be able to fully participate in our community space. \nSign up here! \nAddress will be emailed to those who sign up!

DESCRIPTION:Tatum Tricarico\, our Disability and Theology Intern ♿✝️\, is leading us through a four-week Disability Advent series! \nWe will meet on a weekly basis to reflect and converse with chosen pieces of scripture\, poetry\, and teachings at the intersection of disability and Advent theology. Each session will include the opportunity to learn about an important Disability Justice leader. \nEach meeting will be Hybrid: In-person at Duke Memorial UMC\, & Zoom. \nWhat to expect during this evening of prayer and fellowship: \n1. We first take some time to connect with each other\, and go over the day’s agenda. ✅ \n2. Next\, we reflect on chosen pieces of scripture\, poetry\, and teaching. 📜 \n3. Thirdly\, we converse on those pieces\, with participants breaking into two groups – those on Zoom\, “Zoomies\,” and those in-person\, “Roomies.” 💬 \n4. We report back on our thoughts\, and discuss them all together. \n5.
