DESCRIPTION:Tatum Tricarico\, our Disability and Theology Intern ♿✝️\, is leading us through a four-week Disability Advent series! \nWe will meet on a weekly basis to reflect and converse with chosen pieces of scripture\, poetry\, and teachings at the intersection of disability and Advent theology. Each session will include the opportunity to learn about an important Disability Justice leader. \nEach meeting will be Hybrid: In-person at Duke Memorial UMC\, & Zoom. \nWhat to expect during this evening of prayer and fellowship: \n1. We first take some time to connect with each other\, and go over the day’s agenda. ✅ \n2. Next\, we reflect on chosen pieces of scripture\, poetry\, and teaching. 📜 \n3. Thirdly\, we converse on those pieces\, with participants breaking into two groups – those on Zoom\, “Zoomies\,” and those in-person\, “Roomies.” 💬 \n4. We report back on our thoughts\, and discuss them all together. \n5. Our Executive Director\, Laura Steed Lorino\, will guide you through the house and end the tour with some delicious appetizers and drinks. 🍽️ \nUnfortunately\, the house is NOT YET fully accessible.
