We will send the address (located in South Durham about a mile from the Lowe’s on Fayetteville Rd) to everyone by January 6th! \n\n\n\nParking: We kindly ask that those who are able to do so park a bit further down the street. This will help ensure that there is ample parking space closer to the house for those who may have difficulty walking longer distances. Your cooperation in this matter is greatly appreciated and will make the event more accessible for everyone. \n\nAccessibility: As previously noted\, this house is in the process of renovations that are not yet complete\, including an accessible bathroom and entrance to the kitchen. Guests using mobility aids (such as walkers or a wheelchair) will have very limited access during the event. DESCRIPTION:You’re invited to join together with new friends and familiar faces at Cooking with Community. \nWhat to expect during this afternoon time of food and fellowship: \n1.  We first gather around tables and introduce ourselves. At this time\, we share what we are celebrating this week (e.g. a birthday\, our sports team won\, a family member visiting\, a new job\, etc.). We then ask a get-to-know-you question\, such as “What is your favorite kind of animal?” \n2. Next\, we review the recipe we are making for the day. If it’s a group recipe\, we break into small groups of 2-3 persons per table. \n3. We create the recipe together\, following the step-by-step directions (no cooking experience is needed to join us). Sometimes we make recipes that require an oven or stove\, other times we make a treat or snack that does not require any kitchen appliances. \n4. We eat and enjoy our newly made treat. \n5. We clean up together. \n6. If we finish early\, we may play a game. \n  \nWe will be making soft pretzels! Please register using this link.
