SUMMARY:Stations of the Cross: Disability Justice (Virtual)
DESCRIPTION:Join us on Zoom as we journey through the Stations of the Cross. At each of the fourteen stations\, we will prayerfully memorialize and visualize the journey of Christ to the Cross. At the gathering\, we will use reflections written by Tatum Tricarico\, the Disability Justiceand Theology intern at L’Arche North Carolina. L’Arche is a community that provides friendship\,housing\, and community for people with and without intellectual and developmentaldisabilities. These reflections will invite us to experience the stations of the Cross from adistinct Disability theology perspective. This will inform us about the joys and sorrows of theDisabled community\, allow us to notice the unique ways that God is at work from a Disabilityperspective\, and give us the opportunity to pray for God to help us move beyond the Ableismand discrimination that are often present. We will travel through these stations insolidarity with Disabled people and with a deep trust that Jesus’ life\, death\, and resurrectionopen up a sense of our own calling to live amidst the joys and sorrows of others.
