Join us on Zoom as we journey through the Stations of the Cross. At each of the fourteen stations, we will prayerfully memorialize and visualize the journey of Christ to the Cross. At the gathering, we will use reflections written by Tatum Tricarico, the Disability Justice
and Theology intern at L’Arche North Carolina. L’Arche is a community that provides friendship,
housing, and community for people with and without intellectual and developmental
disabilities. These reflections will invite us to experience the stations of the Cross from a
distinct Disability theology perspective. This will inform us about the joys and sorrows of the
Disabled community, allow us to notice the unique ways that God is at work from a Disability
perspective, and give us the opportunity to pray for God to help us move beyond the Ableism
and discrimination that are often present. We will travel through these stations in
solidarity with Disabled people and with a deep trust that Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection
open up a sense of our own calling to live amidst the joys and sorrows of others.
