You’re invited to join together with new friends and familiar faces at Cooking with Community.
What to expect during this afternoon time of food and fellowship:
1. We first gather around tables and introduce ourselves. At this time, we share what we are celebrating this week (e.g. a birthday, our sports team won, a family member visiting, a new job, etc.). We then ask a get-to-know-you question, such as “What is your favorite kind of animal?”
2. Next, we review the recipe we are making for the day. If it’s a group recipe, we break into small groups of 2-3 persons per table.
3. We create the recipe together, following the step-by-step directions (no cooking experience is needed to join us). Sometimes we make recipes that require an oven or stove, other times we make a treat or snack that does not require any kitchen appliances.
4. We eat and enjoy our newly made treat.
5. We clean up together.
6. If we finish early, we may play a game.
We will be making spring themed sweet treats! Please register using this link.
